You trained for one career. You’re qualified for many.

Rigorous thinking, hard problem-solving, learning new fields fast: this combination is rarer than you think. SciBloom starts from the skills you already have and surfaces careers beyond the traditional academic path you may not have considered. It shows you exactly why you match each one, and maps what to learn to land the one you want.

Across Europe, most researchers with a PhD build their careers beyond the traditional academic track. SciBloom is built for them.

The problem

So why is it so hard to know what comes next?

It is not a knowledge gap. Researchers are trained to find information, evaluate evidence, and make decisions under uncertainty. The problem is that the infrastructure around academic careers was built for one destination, and almost nothing was designed to help you navigate anywhere else.

How it works

A single path from where you are to where you want to go

  1. 1

    Assess

Upload your CV, describe your work, and answer a few guided questions. We build a transparent skills profile you can read and edit.

  2. 2

    Match

Your skills are matched to career options, and you see exactly why each one fits. Not just a score, the reasoning behind it.

  3. 3

    Analyse

Identify the gaps between where you are and the role you want.

  4. 4

    Build

Curated learning resources and live job opportunities to explore.

  5. Get hired

Career profiles

Six career paths. Built from real job market data, mapped to internationally recognised standards.

Every profile is structured around ESCO competencies and levelled with ResearchComp, the frameworks used by employers and institutions across Europe. For each role you will see the skills required, why you match, and exactly what sits between you and that career.

Filtering by sector and skills match is under development.

Coming soon

From the founder

Built by someone who made the same journey (and is still on it)

I did my PhD in molecular biology at Heidelberg University. When I defended, I had no clear picture of the professional options open to me. A manager helped me see my transferable skills, and that changed everything. I became a product manager, then a strategy officer at a research institute, and now a founder.

Notice the non-linear career path. That is the point. Careers, especially for researchers, are rarely a straight line to a single destination. Most of us build them beyond the traditional academic track, and SciBloom is built around that reality.

Every researcher deserves the tools to navigate that journey with clarity.
